In-ept foreign diplomacy of the new govt.

This article beautifully point out how inept Modi's govt. in international diplomacy. They are pro Israel and yet they cannot show it due to the Muslims vote. etc. ( whatever is their reason) but voting in the UN security council that may lead to Israel as 'war criminal', show how in-ept or beyond inept in their diplomacy. Can't they just abstain the vote as they have a choice like many other countries?  And many European countries abstain. if Modi govt. wants to change from the past 3 decades of diplomacy of India, why follow the footsteps of the last 3 decades exactly the same.
